Tomorrow at 1:00 on their social media pages, the Women's Center of Jacksonville will showcase art created by sexual assault survivors to heal. Look at how Martha's beautiful art, the Little Raging Warrior Project, has helped her.

This episode is a manifesto on finding yourself, connecting with the truest version of you, accessing creativity to heal the wounds of your past, and finding joy and purpose in each day. 🌅

Martha and I also discuss what it means to integrate all parts of yourself into your work, how to unlock the meaning of our emotions, and healing from trauma.

This time I got to share some of my work through the wonderful local organization of Femart Galery. They provide a platform to support women artists.

Here I get to share my appreciation for the welcoming and incredibly talented artist community in Jacksonville. As well as what inspires me, and what mediums I am currently exploring.

El abuso sexual en ambas (sin saberlo) nos trajo a este live.

Invite a Martha Lluch de @little_raging_warrior para hablar de sus creaciones y su historia de depresión y ansiedad que vivió desde su adolescencia.

Para mi sorpresa me dijo: “nunca he hecho un Live pero acepo tu invitación”. Y más sorpresa aún fue el hecho de descubrir la historia común, el trauma infantil producto del abuso, en pleno live.

El mundo está lleno de ideas que expresamos por el lenguaje verbal y escrito, y, de  manera espontánea y sorprendente le damos a una idea un giro distinto, divergente. Allí en ese espacio vital y personal se presenta la creatividad.

Desde la perspectiva educativa, siguiendo los lineamientos de Elsa Punset « la creatividad se define como la capacidad de encontrar soluciones inteligentes y útiles a nuestros problemas diarios, por lo tanto esta capacidad se desarrolla a lo largo de nuestra vida.«

Design Process & Mental Health

I had the chance to share for the first time, how I equate my design process and my approach to mental health.
It was the best excuse to use the latest illustration series I've been working on about my experience as Architect. These drawings came to be after I realized that the imagery available on the internet about women architects, is limited and totally inaccurate!
In this video I share the 5 steps of my design process:.

1. Identify the Challenge
2. Study the Context
3. Build a reference library
4. Create and Implement a design/plan
5. Iterate and practice as needed.

I also share that the result of this process is how @little_raging_warrior was born.
